Belgian Sensation Spurs Bound

Written By CR07 on Tuesday, 14 February 2012 | 05:23

Belgium and Lille wing wizard Eden Hazard has confirmed he could join English side Tottenham Hotspurs this summer - but insists a deal has not been done yet.

The 21-year-old is one of the hottest young prospects in Europe at the moment and is reported to have attracted the interest of the likes of top European sides like Chelsea, Real Madrid and Arsenal.

The forward appears to have his heart set on a move to the Premier League this summer and he says White Hart Lane may be his destination.

Hazard denied reports he has already agreed terms with Harry Rednapp’s side, but he did tell Belgian TV station RTBF that a move to join high flying spurs is possible.

He said: "Maybe it will be Tottenham. It is a great English club. I said that I would go to England and there is very good players (at Spurs).

"I have not yet signed. This is going to happen soon".

The youngster plays predominantly on the wing and has not ruled out a move to the Primera Division, however.

"Spain is perhaps more my style of game but (if I move there) it must be to either Barcelona or Real Madrid."

Eden made his Lille debut as a 16-year-old and has gone on to become one of the French side's most important players.

Last campaign he became the youngest player to win the French Ligue 1 player of the year award after helping Lille complete a domestic double and he made his international debut for Belgium at the age of 17.

Chelsea on the werge of signing De Bruyne

Written By CR07 on Wednesday, 25 January 2012 | 04:36

Premier League giants Chelsea are in talks with Belgium outfit Genk over the signing of Kevin de Bruyne.
The 20 year old has been on Chelsea's radar for some time and could be a Blues player by the end of the week after Genk chief Dirk Degraen flew in to London for talks.
If a deal is done, it is likely the midfielder will be loaned back to the Belgian champions for the rest of the season.
"Dirk Degraen is in London and the expectation is that it (the transfer of De Bruyne) will be finished this week," a Genk spokesman said.
"The assumption is that Kevin de Bruyne will be transferred to Chelsea and then will finish the season (on loan) at Genk."
De Bruyne forced his way in the club's first team in 2009 and helped the Belgian side win the domestic title last season.
De Bruyne made his international debut in 2010 and is viewed as one of the brightest young prospects in the country.
He has already played twice against Chelsea for Genk in this season's Champions League group stage.
Villas-Boas has made just one major signing so far this transfer window - the capture of English defender Gary Cahill from Bolton.

City, Chelsea Keen on Real Winger

Angel di Maria - Real Madrid
Angel Di Maria, Real Madrid
English Premier League sides Manchester City and Chelsea are linked with a move for Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria, according to reports in Spain.
The 23 year-old has struggled to make a strong impact at the Santiago Bernabeu this campaign and there have been rumors over a possible exit.

According to Spanish newspapers, Barclays Premier League sides have made contact with Madrid over a possible move to sign the Argentine.

In fact, Di Maria have been offered a huge £1.65m-a-year salary package, which is three times of his current wage at Madrid.

The club likely to fork out such spendthrift packages is money rich Manchester City, who are reportedly interested in adding the winger to their already illustrious ranks.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is also eager in joining the race to sign the former Benfica wing wizard as he is reportedly ready to approve a £150million transfer kitty for Andre Villas-Boas.

Di Maria joined Real Madrid from Portuguese outfit Benfica in 2010 for €25 million.

QPR set to name new boss

Mark Hughes - QPR Boss
MARK HUGHES
QPR Chief Tony Fernandes is "sure" the club will name their new boss on Tuesday as former Fulham and Manchester City manager Mark Hughes prepares for more talks over the vacancy.

Hughes held talks with QPR officials at Loftus Road on Monday and though an agreement couldn't be reached, both sides were positive as they left the stadium that a deal could be made when discussions resumed on Tuesday.

Speaking after the talks with Hughes, chief executive Philip Beard told "If we get things right then hopefully we can start looking forward to Newcastle on Sunday, but we have got some work to do."

Fernandes, though, appears certain, replying to a question on Twitter with the answer: "Yes I am sure we will be announcing new QPR manager today."

Rangers have moved quickly to replace Neil Warnock, who was sacked on Sunday after a tormenting run of eight Premier League games without a win which has left them in 17th place just a point above the relegation zone.
